The Giants are expected to tender Brett Jones, set to be a restricted free agent, and early indications are he will be the favorite to retain the starting center job he held for most of the 2017 season.
Jones is not ideal size he is a boxy 6-foot-2 and 312 pounds but is so technically sound that he uses his low-center-of-gravity frame to his benefit with leverage, getting underneath taller defensive tackles as a run blocker. Jones also greatly impressed Kansas City Royals Womens Jersey the previous coaching regime with his intelligence, so much so that when the offensive linemen each week were given a quiz to see how much of the game plan installation they mastered, Jones was not required to take the test.
If the Giants can flank Jones with quality guards, the interior of the line could be solid. Giants general manager Dave Gettleman is expected to go after Andrew Norwell, the top guard on the market, in free agency.
In the final game of the 2018 season, the Giants ran for a season-high 260 yards in a victory over the Redskins. Afterward, Jones said, There’s a lot of free agents and stuff like that, we’ll see what happens.
Indeed, the Giants are about to revamp their offensive line and Jones, along with tackle Ereck Flowers, could be the only returning starters.

But fury already had been lit, with stars such as J.J. Watt equating the quote to Fox News host Laura Ingraham’s infamous LeBron James criticism.
Womens Jalin Marshall Jersey This is just as dumb as the ‘shut up and dribble’ comment, Watt wrote. Right or wrong, athletes are some of the most recognizable people in this country. That is an extremely powerful platform that so many use to do great things in their community. Who wouldn’t want that #MoreThanAnAthlete.
Elite Womens Eddie Jackson Jersey As Lombardi was being torched on Twitter, Zirin realized his error, deleted the tweet and shared the word-for-word transcription in an apology to Lombardi. The actual, not quite as controversial quote: Rosen might like humanitarian work more than football. I don’t know where his values lie.
Apology not accepted by Lombardi’s boss, The Ringer editor-in-chief Bill Simmons, who called out Zirin’s journalistic standards.
Not nearly a good enough ‘correction’ / you made the first quote up and this ‘paraphrased’ second version of it does not represent the context of what he said either. Do better. 12:40 mark, Simmons wrote, including the link to the podcast on iTunes.
